Will the unit fit my boat? I have a 1967 Sweet Sixteen w/289 and a Volvo 200AQ. Would it even make sense to change? Let me know.

The drive would be perfect. I converted my 18 from the 200 to the 280. You wouldn't even need to change the transom housing however one is still included. The 280 is a vastly superior drive that can handle much more power. My 260 hp 350 chevy spun that prop 5000rpm so my guess is that your 289 might pull it to about 4500. Almost everyone I have heard from really recommends the Volvo ultra prop for the classics. The drive is all excellent. It has no corosion and looks great. I repainted it last year with tempo paint and was dissapointed in its adhesion. However it still looks great. Also included is a working trim motor which in itself is worth about $300.
