I have the same one in my boat with the shoot thru-the hull sender. Great little life saver to have and another gizmo to play with."low water alarm".And yes you can hear it at throttle speed with open exh! eek! I believe I spent about $37.00 more last year for it from "WestMarine"plus shipping. Only other thing you'll need is 4oz of "mineral oil" for the inside sending unit cup holder, availible from any drug store.

Its life insurance for your prop! :) :) when in strange waters.
