Have a very low hour 220 hp 5.0 liter for sale. Coming out of a 2000 Z20. The boat was sold as a left over in 2001. The original owner claimed very low hours (under 40). We put an additional 14 hours on it this summer. Engine looks and run like it is fresh out of the box.
Replacing it with a 350 mag MPI to speed up my boat a little. Great engine for a 16 project.

The shop is going to do an oil change and then winterize the engine before pulling it. I can get you in contact with the shop if you want to ask them about the engine.

The best I have found online is $4500 new.

For sale at $2850/ obo

Have you hit these two? Same price range, the Powertorque looks intersting.

Thanks for the info, they look much cheaper than the 5.7 mpi i was looking at. The 377 is a 6.2 liter right? I wonder how much heavier that is than the original 305 and if it will fit in my boat? Or if it will attach to the alpha drive?

the 350 MAG MPI weighs 10 lbs more then 5.0. I have a new 2003 available for for $7,000.00. The 6.2 weighs the same but is not recommended for an alpha drive nor does Merc make it for the alpha drive.

Ocean runner,
the 5.7 MPI is really what we are looking to drop in. Are you a dealer? and where are you located?
Wasnt sure if the 377 would work out without changing the drive and i think it is a little overkill for the boat.

Anyone know of someone looking for a 5.0L ?
