I have a buddy who is selling his 1998 GMC 3500 pickup. It has 58,000 miles and has everything you can get--Vortec 454, 4 door, 4 wheel drive, dual rear wheels, SLT package (leather, CD/cassette, power everything), trailer brakes. Believe it or not, the truck gets decent gas mileage and has enough torque to pull a house down.

He just bought the same truck in a 2001 model (with the 8.3 litre engine) and the dealer is trying to screw him if he trades.
Average trade-in is $21,000 and average retail is $24,500. He'll take $19,000.

If anyone is interested, you can call me at my office (256) 734-4721 or home (256) 739-2277 or e-mail scsmith@hiwaay.net.

If anyone has a need for a slightly lesser tow vehicle that can be used for daily stuff as well,I have an almost perfect 89 Suburban for sale as well.It wont pull what a dually will but it will haul most DONZIs with ease.1/2Ton with just over a hundred mi.on it.Every factory option including rear heater, and a Kentucky truck since brand new.Absolutely 100 percent rust free.Maybe a trifle expensive at $9000 but this one is so much better than the rest I think its more than worth it!........just....ol red!at 810-326-0490

Green,
No pesky 4 wheel-drive hardware to worry about.Brand new Michelin tires(fairly agressive tread)should get anyone through almost any weather, and up any ramp.I stay away from 4W-D due to complexity, repair costs, and gas mileage. This old truck got 17 miles to the gallon on the way home from Kentucky at about 75mph average, and the fuel filter was almost plugged solid.Usually that ruins my mileage. And,yes, the mileage is now 116,000,although it looks about like 25,000.Call me at 810-326-0490 when ready. You wont be disappointed!..........just.......ol red!(Bill)
