1971 Donzi 2+3. Hull # C18-386. Boat has been on Greenwood Lake its whole life. Has been kept in dry storage at Willow Point Marina since brand new. The Marina would bring the boat out of dry storage for the original owner only on Memorial Day weekend. Once the weekend was over it would go back into dry storage. For the past 6 years it has been in dry storage and not used at all.

This boat was build by Donzi for Fred Merkle Jr. who was one of the biggest Pontiac Dealers in NY. It has all the colors of the early Pontiac Trans Am. I have all the original paper work and service records.

Boat has a 302 Holman Moody Ford with a 250 Volvo drive. Black hull sides, White hull bottom and deck. Brown boot stripe and deck stripe. Inca Gold interior. Boat is 100% original with maybe 20-30 original hours You will not find a nicer 71 Donzi that's all original and unrestored.

Please, serious inquires only. No Trailer.

$12,500 Firm

Kind of like the origin of the "Black Hawk" started with this?

The Gel coat still has a beautiful glow to it. Nice!!

Here are a few more pictures. This is the day we bought the boat. So dont expect to much. It was raining and cold. The day before this it was in dry storage with an inch of dust on it. This is just hosed off.

Scott,

-----This boat is indeed a treasure.Condition appears fantastic! How is the screaming Chicken done?Is it paint or vinyl?Hoping it isnt gel-coat,but if it is it would be a real one-of.Cant see from the pics.Id love to see this boat with the chicken gone and a Taylor-Made windshield installed, but thats just old fashioned me!Would love to see an engine shot as well as a good dash pic. Also cant tell from the pics if the exaust is thru-hull.
-----It just struck me that this is the exact same color combo as my first Corsican. No wonder I like it!......Bill S

Bill,
The Bird is a decal. Being the history behind this boat it would be a shame to change anything I think. The colors and bird grow on you. I will take some more pictures when I have a chance. It does have through Hulls and they sound great! The motor runs soooo smooth its incredible!

Great looking boat, what a classic! Why did Donzi not buy the boat as a museum piece and why are you sellling such a great boat? I wish I were in the market for it.

My Toy,

Donzi isnt in the business of buying older boats. Guess they just arnt that type of company. Im selling because I all ready have an 18 and really would like a GT or Hornet.

Mark,

Great talking with you. See you this weekend!

I test drove this boat on Lake George last weekend. It is in amazing mint condition and runs strong. I ended up not being able to purchase for another reason but will attest to the boat in terms of how it runs. Started easily and sat there idling for 10 minutes before we headed out. The colors are nice the gold and black are sharp.
