Jeff, no sweat. If you have a couple of the engine and interior, give me a call at 614-677-9344(work) and I'll work with you on posting your pictures. Once you do it, you'll never have a problem posting pics again. Hope all is well with you and that the sale is to buy a new Donzi project.

NO!!!!! I Will never leave the Donzi family, you can't get rid of me that easily.

I just bought a 1986 Formula 242 with a single small block. I want to do some weekend trips and have a cudy cabin. It is VERY difficult to give up the GT, I have taken that boat all over the Great Lakes for the last 7 years! But I just think that a change may be good... and Formulas are kinda classic... just not as sexy!

BUT the master plan is to restore the 1968 sweet 16 that is in my barn. It will be a big project that will use lots of WEST system epoxy, I should start it in a year or so. I bought it specifically to always have a classic Donzi to go and have fun in and stay in the "family". Also, the Formula is not going to be super fast so a small Donzi will be real fun on a hot day.

I would love to sell this boat instead of winterizing it so if anyone is interested in the boat feel free to make an offer on what you think the boat is worth. I have many pictures available that I can email.
Thanks!

I have never had the boat on a scale, the brochure says 2600 for the boat and the trailer is 1000. I imagine with fuel and all the "gear" it a bit over 4000 pounds. It tows easily.
I do have many pictures, just let me know where to email them.

JW,

Please send the pics to madpoodle@aol.com .

What kind of performance are you getting out of it??

The boat runs 55 mph at 4600 rpm with 2-3 people and a full load of fuel and "gear".

Congrats Islander on the purchase! Personally, I'm glad to see Jeff sold the boat, but sorry to see it being dunked into salt water.

Sorry Bill for not returning your PM, I hope you find a boat that you like!

Thanks Scott. I know what you mean about the salt. After 28 years living the good life in fresh water I almost feel like a stinker subjecting the boat to the salt. But it'll be pampered like royalty and given the proper care so that it can be around for the next 28 years.

And thanks to Jim Besst and Rootsy for helping me out.
