Add says it's a 1973 and I'm no expert, but were there barrel back v-drives in 73? I am not a big red and white fan, but this Donzi is cool looking. Take a look at the what looks like home made exhaust to turn the engine around for the v-drive.

Looks like a pre 1971. Sharp keel. I looked at a 1971 V-Drive a few years back and it had the rounded keel and "modern" (not rounded) transom.

I posted about this boat last spring. It is on Kent Island in MD. The deck was very soft and wavy.

Thanks Greg. I hadn't looked at Donzi boats for sale out on the market for quite a while. Your explaination may be why this one is still out there. Just thought a v-drive 18 must be a pretty rare model since you don't see them very often. Looks pricey for a complete restore though.

Thank-you Greg. I'm not interested, but someone else might be. Awful lot of NorthEast Criterions coming on the market lately. Problem is, the next time they come available again, I may not be here any more or too old to enjoy them. :D

Scott,

------As a sidebar,no DONZI came with the metal DONZI script after 1968,therefore Im pretty sure this boat was built during the normally accepted barrel-back parameters.
------Also the paint job appears to have been
done without the normal care the boat warrants. If you look at the transom shot you can see that the bilge-pump fitting and the carraige bolts thru the hull are all just painted over.........Bill S
