I just finished replacing the old VDO guages from 1989, (which still work), with a new set of Gaffrig gauges. I wanted to to share the new look with all of you. I had no idea of how great the new gauges would look. What do you think? http://www.donzi.net/photos/RAaron105Gaffrig.jpg

Thanks for the "kudos", gang. Steve, how's the new boat, new lady in your life?

Nate, we got to get together soon and do some boating. If you are boatless, we'll pick you up near Madiera. Cuda and Debbie might come down this weekend, too. Let us know.

The rest of the new Gaffrig system is on my workbench ready to be installed. Trim tabs controls, trim indicators, White throttles, new switchs and breakers.........working on our Donzis keeps us all out of the bars, off the streets, and broke, right?

Richard,
Let's shoot for a rendezvous this weekend. My little Rabco (http://www.donzi.net/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=7;t=000039) is begging to be run. Shell Island, Egmont, or ....What do ya think?

LOOKS GREAT, I would add the matching red bezel from Gaffrig around your shift/controls.

New boat is finally perfect (knock on wood). New engines have been everything we hoped for--it ain't the fastest on the lake but it cranks every time and runs until we're wore out. Suprisingly, the gas mileage has been pretty good.

Married life is also great. We sold our house right after we got married and bought some land closer to the lake (5 miles) and set up a trailer. Now we're typical white trash in that between her new Yukon and my truck and our boat, we figure we've got about $100,000 in vehicles and boats parked outside of a $7,000 trailer.

In fact, here's a picture Amy took last week. We're hoping to have indoor plumbing before winter :D :D :D

Veeeeery nice! A nice improvement visually over the trusty VDO's. I may have to do the same. Post pics when you get the other updates done.

Mark the first thing you should do is request a catalog from the Livorsi Marine / Gaffrig website. It's very complete and helpful.
