1974 X-18
relativly unmolested shape
350 Chevy
Volvo 280
Original Rocket trailer

Price is $5500

I was originally interested in purchasing this boat, but the timing is not right for me. Anyway, I have agreed to help the seller sell the boat. I've seen her in person several times and she looks OK. I am not a surveyor however. The boat has been repowered and I can see where the exhaust holes have been moved and filled. Also the deck has been repainted. It looks good to me, but there is no deck stripe. There are some scrapes and scratches around the hull and deck, but overall the boat seems to be in good shape. The hullside color and boot strips look to have been re-painted and could be in better shape. The interior seems to be in good shape.

The owner claims she has a fresh motor and that she runs and drives just fine.

If you are interested in this boat, contact me directly via phone or email and I can provide more details.

-------I also saw this boat.It could be used as is for a season or two,but also would make a very good restoration candidate.I saw no softness anywhere but did not explore deeply.Good price!...........Bill S

I had looked at that boat too before I bought my 18'. It did look to be in good condition and probably would serve just fine for a few years or more if you just wanted to drive it. It's been for sale since at least May of this year. It sat outside for awhile and then they put it in the showroom for a couple of months. It's now back outside again. I think the price was originally $10,000. For the restorer it would be a great find.

Ranman,

Can you tell me where I could see this boat?

Thanks,

Mike

When I saw it, it was at Bell-Mar (I think that's the name) Marina. It's on Jefferson Ave. in Harrison Twp. just north of the spill-way bridge but before Crocker Road. It's about a quarter mile north of the bridge on the right (just past the grove of trees). It was stored outside, then they put it inside for awhile. I was by there yesterday and I didn't see it outside or inside. But that does not mean it's not there. :D :D

Mike, I was by there today and I got the name of the marina wrong. They had two names, one on the building (a banner) and one on the sign out front. The Banner had "Freedom Marine", the sign had "Hideaway Harbor". The only phone number was on the sign, "586 465-4910". I looked at the boat last spring and it didn't look bad at all. Let me know if you get to see it and/or buy it.

The boat is on it's way to OH. It very well may be at AOTH IV, but it won't be spending the winter in MI or heading out west.

Congratulations on the purchase!

"Lesson to self"...be verrrryyy careful of whom you choose to "partner" with...

This boat was not meant to be in my case. Dante'(seller) seems like a real straight shooter. Decent human to do business with and ethical. My loss. Different partnership for me next time around.

P.S. Thanks Randy and Bill for all the help. Much appreciated. You guys make this long range stuff easy. I owe you. See ya at AOTH

Congrats -----!!! :D :D :D

OK..OK...I'll stand up! Sorry for the delay. I was resting from the 12 hour nonstop roundtrip to Clinton Twsp.

Thanks to Randy and Jerry for all the info on this wonderful little "X"!! It was exactly as described! Lenny, yes Dante was a very straight shooter. A very nice guy. I have a few pics if someone would post them for me.

I just couldn't handle not having a DONZI!! Should be a very FUN boat!
