I'm looking for a Donzi 16' or 18' outboard.

I might consider a 14' Baby Donzi

Rumor I heard from a few who would know was they actually built one experimental 18 OB. They couldn't get it to run right so it was cut up...

Tiger yes post pictures. Interesting boat.

Wasn't there an old Powereboat Mag or maybe it was some other boating rag that tested an 18 Donzi OB with a 235 JohnRude? I'll dig and see if I can find it.

Not sure why. Only thing I can think of is for liability reasons the factory can tend to be a little conservative.

Chris

I guess single latham on the SE slipped through.

Poodle, Funny that you mentioned the Roughwater 18. We had an 18 closed deck. it was built somewhere in Hialeah. Had a 175 Johnson ob on it. Not sure of the speed but it ran well. We thought it was a Manta hull or a Donzi at first. Your right about the chine walk. Right after we bought it the guy started to make the open fish.

Its a little bigger then your looking for but still interesting.

This auction is for an absolutely beautiful example of a 1984 23.8 foot fiberglass DONZI (HULL#DMR220520983-OB). This boat is one of only forty handbuilt and the only one specifically built for an outboard motor.
