Did anybody else have one of these hanging on the back of a 8 ft hydro? Motor (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=1874017537&category=26454)

What vintage is that outboard? I can remember going with my father(owned and operated his own marina) to visit a friend of his on Orr Lake in Ontario in the early/mid 60's and he had a pair to rigs with those motors. I remember how impressed I was at the time with the speedmaster/bullet drives.

Yea Baby, I had a 11 foot Sid Craft when I was a kid, my father was a die hard Merc guy . On our boats he had a 20hp on a 14ft Chris and a Mark 55 4 cylinder Merc on a 16ft Larson. The 20hp was green an silver and the 40hp was red and white. I had a, not sure of the number, but I think it was a K3 Thunderbolt on my Sid Craft. Motor had 4 cylinders and 4 carbs with a hydro quiky lower unit spinning a 2 blade prop. Boat was scary, I loved it. I found the K3 in the attic of a marina and bought it for 20 bucks. Used it for a few years and gave it to a friend of mine, who knew. The motor you posted is a Hurricane 10, great race motor, they could turn 7000 rpm, nothing else sounded like it.
