Hey King Cobra Donzi Owners,

Had the same problem with my trim sensor pot, upon acceptance testing down in Destin!

Here is the solution that I found: http://www.garysmarine.com/

Gary's Marine
11571 Osceola Dr.
New Port Richey, FL, 34654
Tel No. 727-863-9277 - 1-888-891-0101

I have the "91" King Cobra 350 (5.7L) and the part no. was 3853920, cost $ 43.98.

If the thru hull strain relief "pin" is not positioned correctly, be prepared to partially lift the engine accordingly to allow install. 1/2 hour job with the right equip. While youre here, go
ahead and replace the water pump impeller kit, for $ 24.00, with a transom seal for $6.00.

Further, check your bellows for cracking, u-joints for wear, put it all together and relax for the
next couple of years. Gary is quite knowledgeable on the OMC drives and will have everything
you need or will get it.

You have made a good decision as far as the OMC King Cobra Drives are concerned. Parts will
be available for many years. These drives are bulletproof much like the Volvo drives and will
provide many years of service. Even here in Jackson, MS, we have factory trained techs to
handle any problems.

An added perspective: My tech, will buy all the used Merc, Alpha and Bravo Drives that he can get his hands on - for parts. He does not however buy OMC or Volvo Drives per say.
Let us put this into a reasonable perspective: Mercs for speed, "Later" OMC for relaibilty.

When in terms of reality, flic your bic, or click your zippo: enough said

I'm with tailwind, the OMC King Cobra is a great drive.
Fast Eddies is a good source for OMC parts also.
They are in New Bern, NC 1-800-531-4486
There is a wishbone shaped clip that holds the through-hull connector in place. It is a bitch  to get on and it's stainless so when you drop it a dozen times a magnet will not pic it up. Do yourself a favor and order an extra when you get the sender.

BTW I use a mirror and a long pair of curved needle nose pliers. I also covered the exterior wires with heatshrink and used plenty of wire ties. Make sure the ties do not bind the wire when drive is turned to port.

OK OMC guy's, I have a question. I noticed this weekend that the flexible hose for the thru-prop exhaust is all warn out at the bottom. Everything seems to run all right, do I need to bother with changing the hose?
