Boat Fix (http://www.Boatfix.com) sells a product called
Power Pro by Lubrimatic
George @ US Boating Forum (http://www.boatered.com/default.asp) claims it is exactly the same as Merc Hi Performance Lube and its ALOT cheaper.

There is also an interesting forum
"Winterization" look at the "Lets start with this" post. I have always fogged my carb and cylinders but in the spring sometimes I have to use some carb cleaner to clean out the residue in the carb.

Has anyone tried this type of elixir before?
50% Gas
35% 2 cycle oil
5% Fuel system cleaner
5% Alcohol
5% Stabilizer

Good deal for fogging except the Alchol and fuel system cleaner nulifi the 2 stroke mix.

Try this take 2 stroke oil that is a 50/1 ratio and mix it at 10/1 add some stabilzer, fog engine.

The elixir is not for fogging.
You run it through the carb (from a pressurised tank) until the engine quits.

Mine, you pour in slowly untill it slows and smokes and dies. this is what i used to do when I lived in Jersey. In Ga. my boats don't sit idle long enough to do anything except fuel stabilizer.
