Well my core wood work is done I have the hull upside down on a dolly for now I am getting ready to prime the hull . But I thought I would try one of my engine doors on the top and much to my surprise the engine door must have warped when I did the core wood on it . I don't know what I am going to do to straighten that thing now !

Grab your ankles.....place your head between your knees......
Seriously-is your deck off the hull?If so,you might chk to see if the deck has sprung itself flatter from sitting without being atchd to the hull.Is the hatch door more bowed/less bowed/or sprung out corner to corner?

Ralph, Warp it back. Set the hatch between two pieces of wood with weight in the middle. GEOO

Ralph,
Your going to have to cut the wood back out of the hatch. LOOPED is going to post 2 pictures of what I did so you have an Idea. I still dont know how to post pictures yet so Looped is nice enuff to help out.

I screwed a 1X6 in the top side of the hatch. Mine was bowed really bad. Foam was shot. Once I screwed the wood in I made sure it fit the deck. Took it back off and did my balsa work.

Dont fit the hatch on the deck with the deck off the boat. There WILL be some sort of difference once you get the deck back on the hull.

Good Luck!

Geoo,
Once that hatch wood work is done and if its done right. There is now way in hell your going to get it back the way it was. I'm sure Ralph will have to cut the wood back out.

I am hoping it will fit better once I get the deck back on the hull If not I was thinking I will score the back down to the outside laminate and bend it to shape some how It only appears to be the right door that warped.

Scott here you go. The pictures came over with some very funky textures and colors but you get the gist out of it anyway:

You may even want to screw a steel or aluminum "L" bracket on top of the 1+6 lengthwise so that the 1+6 does not have a chance to bow too.

Just a thought,

Only one problem i have a triple hatch 3 door 2+3. My R/S door is the only one that appears warped

Ralph,
You can do the same thing but on a smaller scale.
