I would like to get recommendations for an exhaust system for a 351W in a Donzi 16. What products are the Ford owners using and what works best?

Thanks

THERE IS NOT MUCH AVAILABLE. CALL CP IN CALIFORNIA, 707-585-9871 X 17 OR 25. THEY HAVE WHAT THERE IS.

The best that I've found for small-block Fords is the Kodiak aluminum center-rise exhaust system. It has divided primaries and is available with a very large and open aluminum riser or a stainless-steel tube riser. The only negative that I can see with the Kodiak system is that, at least with the aluminum riser, the cooling water from the manifold to the riser goes through the flange rather than through a hose. One of the stainless risers available for the Kodiak system may eliminate the water passage through the flange, but you better check to be sure. I think that either Eddie Marine (http://www.eddiemarine.com), Rex Marine (http://www.rexmar.com) or CP Performance (http://www.cpperformance.com) sells Kodiak.

. . . after thinking about it - 351 in a 16 Donzi - the 351 is about and inch taller than the 289/302. For that reason, you may have hatch clearance problems with the Kodiak, or for that matter, any center rise system. The only way to know for sure is to measure. Also, I'm fairly sure that the stainless-steel riser fits lower than the aluminum riser. If the Kodiak system is a no-go, then you will be stuck to use log manifolds and I'm not sure if anyone still makes an aluminum log for SB Fords. If you need a log, a good used set of HMs would be choice.

I have the kodiak system with stainless steel risers that Forrest is referring to in my 18', and am very happy with them. They just fit, not musch clearance at all. Let me know if I can be of any help. Scott
