Lazze that has to be one of the finer finds made this season, there is a member with a new building in Jersey that would be more than willing to display it here in the US. Another rare one surfaces!

A P.S. went back and clicked the links, they have a few really nice boats, a 22C, 3 20 Bertrams, Chris lancer and a Corenet which is another great boat.

What is with the drive? Is that for better handling in a hard left turn?

Lazze,
that is a great looking boat, Do you know what hull number it is??? is the deck cored??? is the cigarette lighter original??
I have been compiling info on an early run of 16's that had factory windshields, no coring in the deck, one of which is mine, the windshield has been removed and re-glassed and I have the cigarette lighter, Tony Sporer's, and some others, mine was an eaton boat as well, not sure on Tony's his might be one of the first 200 series being his is 10 hulls after mine the 200 might have been available then.
Just something to help me get thru the winter

Lazze Thanks

Lenny that was the first surface drive,
the Eaton pigeon hawk :p I think that is the trailering position

Wow, now that's nice! Original and near mint everything, including the Eaton outdrive.

I bet that would "run circles" around a lot of boats with that outdrive set-up! wink

WOW.. That is amazing..What would that be worth in it's present condition....? It's almost as thought it just left the factory ...
Looks like the owner even has one of those beautiful shift knobs from Cliff and Scott :)

WOW!
Reminds me of the '65 I had from '75 - '87.
I had the windshield and Eaton O/D except the
color combo was reversed. I had all red with
white stripe & interior. Sold in '87 for $12,500.
If I knew where it was, and the condition was good,
I buy it back in a minute.

Copy of E-Mail recieved from broker in Sweden.

Hi

The boat has had one owner before and has been sitting on the trailer in storage for 30 years.

The original Hollman Moody engine has apron 100 hours. All 100% original. The trailer is also 100%original.

I have all the original documents for boat and trailer, even the old invoice.

Price: US$ 36,250.00 OBO.

I am pretty sure that is not a Holman Moody setup. I think it is an Interceptor setup. Ford 260 cu.in.; 2 bbl. Carter carb.

Great boat, but they'd need to throw in a couple of ABBA albums for that price...

Rodger I think you are 100% right, I remember those 165hp Eatons.

That boat is the same as my original 16. That is why I am so familiar with it.

my 16 came with a 289 and an eaton drive was that the 165hp motor?? the 351 holman moody that replaced it is around 290hp

Thats Thomas Rupert's 16. I have seen many pictures of this boat and talk to Thomas on a regular basis. This boat is MINT in every way. And yes it does look like it just left the factory. Great boat for someone who really is looking for a 16.

Just amazing. I saw a picture of this 16 as I was looking at all the registered boats last night. I saw it was from Sweden, so other than to check out the pictures, didn't pay to much attention to the owner or anything else. If Donzi has a museum somewhere other than Scott's new garage in NJ, this boat should be in it! Wouldn't it be cool to walk into the Donzi factory and see this boat in the lobby right next to a 40th aniversary 16 Classic? Kind of like the NASCAR boys do down in NC with their Championship cars.

That thing sold new for $4195 plus $300 for the trailer. It is a 260 Int. with the world's 2nd worst drive, the Eaton "C".

Two comments:
1. I had the world's second worst drive (Eaton).
It fell off my 16 doing about 45 MPH in
80 feet of water.
2. What is the world's worst drive?

OMC electric shift I think will draw high honors as the Worst!
