Hmmm! Looks like a little strake Mod midship and aft, any info on that.

Tetrake mod is a volvo speed rail. I use them on my 18 and son on the 22 Criterion. No longer available. Gene told me he got no speed increase. I only use the rear for stability. the bow ones make the ride harsh.
Remember that boat well, wish he had been there too.

What does a strake Mod do for the boat? I have them on my 28 Sportsman.

According to GeneS who owns ChiChi, the Volvo speed rails do nothing on his X-18.

That picture was shot on B+W film, sipitoned print, and then scanned in. Those were the days! Hmmmm . . . what an idea - maybe I should start leaving the little digital camera at home and start bring the SLR.
