Is anyone getting unsolicited emails advertising Marine services from a member of the Board??

Let me know.

I got some commercial e-mails but they are hardly unsolicited since I did post something in the "Parts Wanted" section. The Porn sites lately are making one hell of a push with the spams though. One site is pretty funny, all you need to do is enter your credit card number, social security number, name, bank account number and driver's license and they will, "for free" let you watch some british gal do something very strange with a pony. How stupid do they think we are, I mean, she wasn't even british!! :D

I know many of you know of this Windows feature but some do not. You can go to message at the top of Outlook Express scroll down and block the sender of junk mail. This will stop alot from hitting you again, there are companies that constantly change there E-Mail adress so they keep coming. But after a couple of weeks the junk coming in gets real small. My E-Mail AD is also my Biz adress I was getting 30-40 a day now down to about 4-5 yippie

Do notes from Owen count as spam? :D

Seriously, saw something in my Yahoo Bulk Mail Folder yesterday that was probably from someone mining our addresses... had Donzi.Net BBS in the subject, but the message wouldn't load. Don't think it was a virus, just looked like a badly executed spam message. Don't know how we can keep it from happening, short of bombing the mailboxes of spammers.

Heck, how can you tell. I get so much spam it's a joke.

I am overrun with XXX sites.

And if I get one more letter from some third world country's ex-financial minister, or what ever title he has today, I'm going to scream.
I don't want his money and I don't want to help him. End of story.

SPAM, in a way, I kept getting the annoying POP UP windows, even here on the board.
I read a great article that said, check you add/remove program files, by golly we had one called DOWNLOADWARE. Removed it and the annoying windows went away.

We also run POPUPKILLER software that kills the rest, even the ones when surfing the adult stuff, it was free on the web.

LASTLY, if your involved with YAHOO or MSN, they are the SPAM kings, but, you can edit your profile deep and be removed.
