Damn that thing is nice; it's as big as my house. I'm sooo jealous.

Lenny,
Not yet...thats sandy fill. Or it could be some blown away pearlite that I poured down the block cells.

Dang, Pearson, I'm kinda scared to see what your chicken coop must look like, if that's just a backyard storage shed...

That is fantastic, and a place for me to stay too!

Looks great, I know what goes in the first floor, but what is the 2nd floor going to be used for? I wish I had room for something like that on a little smaller scale. (Yes I'am so jealous)

Darrell,
I have no idea what I'm going to do with the 2nd floor. I did pour a footing for a huge 2 story stone fireplace. Also there will be a deck on the back of the building running the full 50 foot length and 20 feet out with a concrete pad under it. It will have alum. lockdry decking...this way I can store some boats on the outside under the deck like a car port.

I just figured it would have looked funny next to my house if it was only a one story garage. I can tell you one thing...It would have been a hell of alot cheaper without the 2nd floor. It would have been less then half the cost.

Ohh well...to late now.... :D :D

Scott, what a fantastic storage facility! Second floor should have a fireplace, fridge and big screen along with a large closet to place all the folding cots your going to need. You see after the deck popping parties, you want your helpers to leave with a good feeling so they'll want to come back to re-install that deck when your ready. For those 2 day Donzi work parties, you start a fire if a little cool, pull out the cots, hand the crew a drink of choice, put on a flick or game and your crew is ready to go bright and early the next morning. :D

Scott it looks great, and after looking at the third pic my only suggestion would be to tell Matty to stop taking a leak out of the second story window.... :D

Scott P, thanks for sharing the pics and glad to see you back on the board.
I must have missed something somewhere! But what else is new.
I have been curious about that garage since you posted the initial dig.

Our backyard currently looks like Iraq from our latest project. I will try to track the progress as you have and post info/pics. This projects digs down and constructs vice up.
Thanks again for the pic's. :)
Keep us updated.

Scott, you just built my dream garage. And I know just what to do with the second floor: Band Practice!!!

Let me know when you throw your first Donzi party up there. I'll bring the band.

Rock and Roll!!!
