Tachometer Problems

The Tachometer on my 1992 classic is working kinda funky… sometimes it works and then bingo it goes off. What is the problem ?

Question….Can this tach be rebuilt ( so I can keep the original faceplate ) ?

If it's a Faria, they have a lifetime replacemant for a moderate fee.
Farias have a plastic housing that cracks if the unit is mounted too tight.
