White Steering Wheel

Well, I did it! I just bought a 1981 18' 2+3! It has a Chevy 400 with 5 hours, and with some TLC, it's gonna be sharp! Anyway, the previous owner replaced the white steering wheel because it kept turning a yellowish brown! Anybody know what causes this, how to clean it, and prevent it's return? Or is this one of those Grin and Bear it with Comet deals? Or, anyone got one of these wheels that doesn't do this? Thanks, Kevan

That is a gaffrig steering wheel, go to livorsi Marine.com and order a catalog. I changed my black wheel to a white wheel
