Is that the cat that goes -------way fast?
Oh, here's a story. With all the Donzi Expertize that was present at Lk. Cumberland, would'nt you know it, that none of them had a VERY COMMON 3/8ths allen driver used to tighten a standard merc trim tab. Yes, Stung had one!

Thanks Again.

I've heard the 25 Sunsation was a knock off of the 25 Cigarette hull. Is the 28 the same hull with a swim platform?

Stung,
Really glad to hear the boat is everything it was promoted to be. The one sitting by my home at the dealership is just beautiful. How about: "Stung By The Sun" or "Sunsational Days"

I think in the beginning they took an old boat hull and tinkered with it. The 25 came first then the 32 with the 288 last. Over the years many mods came about with the current hull which sports a "Vortex" step which is a short step that goes in only to the first strake. It has a 24 degree deadrise and turns just like a straight v-hull....

How about STUNG AGAIN & AGAIN or STUNGSATION or BIGGER STINGER or......guess I better sit on it awhile http://www.donzi.net/ubb/cool.gif

Hey Stung, how are things working out with your Sunsation? I've been thinking about adding to the fleet, and the Sunsation 25 has really caught my eye. Looks like a great boat, and with the 496 is supposed to run over 70 mph. Any problems or complaints with your hull so far?

Riley,
I got to see STUNG rock in person this past Sunday as we launched in the rain, I rode the D 26ZX and watched him rock, we were in good 3 and 4 footers plus BIG tug wakes on occassion!
She looks sweet, and is, the graphics are very up to date, a real head turner.
Most impressive to me was all the storage area on the boat, this boat was the first performance boat I have been aboard that I saw a clutter free cuddy, no gear adrift as we say in the navy! A place for everything, let alone dual coolers locked in under the electric bolsters!!!! Boat Soda!

I have spoken with the factory about a 25 Aggressor vice my 22ZX, I gain 16" length without the swim platform (add 1 foot) and have a negative of 10" in the beam.... not so good, especially with friends and kids...
One note, they were very upfront, and added info that a BBC Merc 496HO would only show 3MPH difference compared to the new 6.2 320HP/Bravo, BUT would show a substantial savings in $$$.
Just FYI.
Oh, and one guy who went with us (non Donzi)had gauges falling out after 1 hour of serious pounding, so 3 to 5 footers is the truth to this sea story.

Thanks Bryan for the generous words. As he mentioned, we had some slop and a straight set of three big tugs. As I hit these wakes (after 30 minutes of 3-4 footers) I tested the boat by hammering the throttle and got her in the air. She came down smooth over successive huge displacement hull wakes and I laughed out loud afterwards from excitement... http://www.donzi.net/ubb/biggrin.gif

As Bryan also mentioned, the cuddy and cockpit is loaded with storage. They have layed this boat out to be used no doubt about it. I mean right down to cup holders for the the driver and passengers in convenient logical locations. Folks have hit the beam numbers on her but you won't notice it at all if you get in one. I guess to sum it up, yes I love it and it has met and/or exceeded my expectations and OBTW, it's doing pretty darned good on the petro as well... http://www.donzi.net/ubb/smile.gif

The 25 by all accountsis supposed to drive like my Stingray only with a better ride in the slop. There's a good post going on right now on the OSO about the 25 and Sunsation in general. As many mags have quoted over the last year, Sunsation is the most bang for the buck but it won't be for long as more and more dealers get closer to the coast and the word gets out the price will jack.... http://www.donzi.net/ubb/cool.gif

Still working on the new name BTW.... http://www.donzi.net/ubb/wink.gif
