OK - something is wrong here. Big vacation travel weekend, I bought a new to me Surburban gas hog, and towing GTrouble, canoe, bicyles, kitchen sink, etc. for 600+ miles. Went to fill up and gas prices were way down! 129.9. Are the stars out of alignment? Back into alignment? What is going on? Why do I get a break? Maybe I should just stay home - something doesn't fill right....

Hey Reddog. It isn't you, gas is down to $1.09 here in Ohio. It cost me $35.00 or more every time I fill up the Tahoe. Prices can't get low enough for me. Can I here a big THANK-YOU from all truck owners? Have fun and enjoy your trip.

When I set out for Cumberland, there was all manner of scare talk on the media about
high gas prices. Quickly found out that, once again, the news was making itself. Average price was 1.47 across. Big differences were if the particular state had rolled back taxes. Virginia and MD demonstrate this. Within two miles, gas was 1.31 and 1.78 cause of taxing differences. There was also a 10 cent premium to be paid if you just bought right on the interstate. Two miles off, and the price was lower. Also, Casinos and indian reservations had the best deals. And some of the large chain stores are starting to sell gas at practically wholesale prices as a lost lead.
