Some tech questions

Hi Everybody. I've got a few of my annual "mid-summer" tech questions I was hoping somebody on here could shed some light on:

1. Are the Vortec heads on the 350 and 305 sbc identical, or do the 305's run smaller valves due to the smaller bore size?

2. Has anybody ever run a Lazer II prop on their 18? What were your results?

3. Okay, here's a tough one: My boat has a slight yellow staining around the waterline, after having sat in my slip over the holiday weekend. This isn't a scum line, but an actual stain that remains after a thorough washing. You don't even notice it from 4 feet away, but I know it's there, and it bothers me. Any products or techniques that will remove this faint yellow haze from my waterline?

for #3 try some type of rubbing compound.

Another thought on #3 is to use ON OFF hull cleaner then rewax, it is unbelievably quick.

the 305 cylinder heads indeed DO have smaller valves than the 350 cylinder heads... the 350 vortec cylinder heads have 1.95/1.50 valves the 305 cylinder heads have 1.84/1.50 valves...

meguires cleaner wax will get that stain off.

#2 - A laserII is not a bad prop for an 18. Maybe as good or better than a mirage -thinner blades.
#3 - Any cleaner with oxalic acid including on@off or just plain oxalic acid.
