I will taking my boat over to Madison WI for a few days later ths week to do some boating with my sister who lives there. She is not a boater and I was wondering if any one out there has some local knowledge of the area? Looks like a nice chain of lakes.
Any dangerous sand bars? Any good anchorages?
What is the best way to trailer through Chicago?
Thanks in advance for any info!

Avoid Chicago at all costs. You'll break an axle.

i was in chicago bout a month ago.. didnt get swallowed up by any potholes... sat in a traffic jam for an hour or so though at the 80/94 exchange... i'd avoid Downtown.. skirt it on the loop and you should be ok... just make sure your brakes work.. WELL. and bring a lot of change for the toll booths. Can't say i know much about boating in wisconsin... when you live in michigan... who needs wisconsin?????
