and the parts

Hole saw wasn't deep enough and had to get it from both sides. Just put a coat of epoxy resin in the holes and waiting to cure up...should be tomorrow when I dry fit everything and finish it up.

Great looking job! And a sweet looking boat! I see you have no diverters in the Y's. Question why not cap off the Merc Y pipe completely.

Originally, I was thinking of capping the Y exhaust pipe, everyone I talked to suggested that I do not do that. It was either remove the Y pipe all together and put the block off plate in or do the splitter/diverter. I chose the latter without a selector, since I wanted the exhaust out the back all of the time. With the splitter in there and the tips that have internal baffles, if water does come up there at all, it'll go right down the Y-pipe.

One more thing...I picked up approx. 200 RPM on the top end...out of the hole was hurt just a slight amount without the backpressure of only going thru the prop.
Greg,
Looks like you did a terrific job. How many times did you check your measurements before you actually went at it with the hole-saw? That's some heavy pressure!!

Thanks, I'm really happy with the way it turned out too...I really didn't feel any pressure...I measured once after laying it out initially on the hull.
Just took my time and had a plan.

Great looking job. I've been considerin putting thru hull on one of my boats, but I don't have the cahonies to cut holes in the hull.

Greg - It was great meeting you and Natasha today.
Sorry we didn't have more time. Send me an email with your number and let's see if we can get together for a day of boating here on Lake Wylie.

Was glad to see your 200 RPM gain top end. Get your prop drilled for low end ventilation it will give you a great hole shot much better that even what you had. I have seen a several second gain getting on plane with a drilled prop. Example 25 Grady White 225 Johnson, from dead stop to plane 13 seconds. Drilled prop to OMC spec 9 seconds, many manufacturers offer factory drilled props.
