Help. Some of the wires are corroded and the insulation is off on my 1976 16'. The electrician I am working with said it would save him a bunch of time tracing wires if I could show him a wiring diagram. Does anyone have anything that could be useful to me? Anything faxed (203) 594-0154 or emailed (jengel@199LLC.com) would really really be appreciated. Or my number here at work (203) 594-0150 x124

I dont know how much time you have on your hands, but if you have corrosion, its gonna start showin up on other wires..

if your good at it, you might as well re wire the boat.(this sounds a bit drastic)- but I had all sorts of problems with my donzi's wiring(1971) untill I rewired everything....

chooose your route....

it's not corrosion. It was a short. Heated up the wires till the insulation came off. Might've installed the battery wrong. Might've been too much moisture from being in storage. So, I think it's just the ignition that was affected by the short when I was hooking up the battery, not corrosion. Any ideas for my electrician on where to get a diagram?

I know I said corroded wires and then said it wasn't corrosion. What I meant to say is after frying the ignition wires I think I would like to replace all the wires, like Moody Blu says, cause the one's I didn't fry are pretty old too. But, to use it for the 4th of july I really only need to replace those relating to the ignition.
