I'm on an extended vacation in Eastern Washington and pulled my boat up from CA. Looks like I just missed the NW meet. Will anyone be visiting this area over the 4th of July hollidays?

Where do you plan on boating, there are many beautiful areas in Eastern Washington.
As for me I just hope to get my new exhaust manifolds before the weekend, so if I do get to go boating this weekend it will have to be here on the west side.

Where in E. Wash? Lake Chelan is pretty cool, as are some of the remote sections of the Columbia.

I grew up in Davenport (a little farm town west of Spokane). I'm visiting my parents here. We usually take Dad's 1966 18' down to Lake Roosevelt. I'd like to spend some time there, and in Idaho (Preist lake, Coeur D Alene, Pend Oreille, etc.). Chelan would be great too. It's been a long time since I've been around my old stomping grounds, and I've always wanted to boat with my dad. Let me know when and where. Have ZX will travel....

By the way, here are a couple of photos of Dad's boat I took yesterday. The most beautiful Donzi ever made (I am a little biased). He bought it new in 1966. It still looks new...

That gorgeous piece of 3-Hatch Donzi History lives in Washington eek! eek! Is he willing to give tours wink ? That is incredible!!

Anyway, hope you have a nice visit up here...too bad you didn't make it up in time for the South Sound Run...but there's so much good boating over on the East side - you should more than make up for it.

I don't think you can beat the run up Lake Chelan to Steheiken - especially in the ZX - what a perfect boat for that trip. Other than that, Cour D' Lane (sp?) is nice....

Take care...

Wanted to bring this back to the top in case some people didn't see this 3 hatch!

Is it original gel-coat?
Does he want to sell it?

And,...does he know of the registry and is this boat registered?

Lenny,

This boat does have the original gel coat and mostly everything else is original exept for the drive (now a Volvo) and the rear seat was re upholstered. The gel coat is red and has a subtle brass metal flake. It truly shines like new. I've never seen a better looking boat of any age, let alone a 35 year old boat.

Dad has not registered the boat on Donzi.net yet, he's very busy with summer work. We will be heading out this weekend and will take some photos and register it.

Does he want to sell it??? Would you :)

Hope some of you can meet up with us. There are so few Donzi's around it would be fun to see you guys on the water.

Congratulations on 35 years of prgressive maintenance! Scubado, that is so cool to see your dad's boat. I'll be that you had a great childhood! It reminds me of growing up on a small lake. I had a buddy who I skied with. They were lucky, they had a nice Century glass ski boat that the kids got to beat, while mom and dad had a 1955 Century Resorter 19' woody that they enjoyed. It was off limits to us kids! One afternoon when the folks were gone, we started it in the slip and sat and had a beer sitting in it. Just to hear the burble burble.... Warped sense of fun, but we did'nt want to get busted.

There were three Donzi's on Lake Roosevelt (the back waters of the Grand Coulee Dam) this weekend.

It was nice to see some Donzi's around. I'm usually the only one out in the Channel Islands California. Also the smooth water was very different. No where to catch air. We all had a great time.
