We have seen this one before about a year ago but what really intrigues me is the actual deck differences between this and the more modern 22s. Those familiar with the 22 will note the lack of the little "hump" where the windshield would be. This obviously is an entirely diferent deck. So what do we make of this? What is the actual history of the 22? The Criterion was first but is it the same hull as the classic? Where does this boat fit in? As well as the F22?

aaahhhh...interesting. Something new to ponder. This boat looks the same as the one I saw in Seattle that was an '82, last year. The F-22 comparison...hmmmm, sinnce we only know of one it is hard to get answers. This should be interesting! Thanks.

Does anyone have more light to shed on this boat. Don't tell Donzi Deb but it intrigues me - I like the windshieldless look that you don't see on most 22s (any that I have seen other than the Harbormaster's tee shirts). When did the 22 first come out? What is a TRS drive and if you have one do you like it or what are the pros and cons - Mad P and Big G? 472 CI - what is that - 454 bored 60 over or still something OK to consider?

Seller is looking for 20K. Note the box on top of the engine hatch - otherwise I really like the look.

Nice looking boat.... I especialy like how good a 22' can look without a windsheild,
But what's up with that tunnel ram?

Kind of defines a cherry boat, huh? I really love the look... common guys, someone buy her so I can bum a ride!

Perhaps the hatch box is where they hid OJ's knife from the crime scene in the background?

Bunches,

Celene 'that trailer is criminal'

did anyone notice the stickers on the boat are flipped and the gauge cluster is a little awkward.
FINALLY a pic of a donzi with a water pick up! eek!

I was wondering is the beam any wider on the 22's then the 18 or 16?, the cockpit looks kinda tight?
not a bad looking boat except for the ice crusher, garbage disposal on the hatch :D

Essentially they are all the same width.

16 Classic beam 6" 11"
18 Classic beam 6' 11"
22 Classic beam 7' 0"

Thanks Ranman,
so the difference in ride is all in the length.

Mattyboy, For the most part you're correct. There's also a fun term called "freeboard". The freeboard of the Classics changes dramatically with size. Freeboard has a dramatic effeft on ones perception of the Donzi ride also. When we talk about sitting IN a 22 and ON an 18, it's the freeboard that gives that feeling, but you knew that already. :D Randy
