anyone interested in going to one of the ports??
I was thinking doing the AC one on thursday then watch them leave Friday then shooting up to the show in NYC on Sat
of course if I'm not in the race with the 16 eek! :rolleyes: :p wink :D OH 25 foot or bigger they're just scared of us little guys wink

Take a look at the fees. A 25 footer will cost you $44,000 to enter with a 2 man crew and a 3 man tech crew. Then it is up from there. OUCH.

Let's see, that's big water out there in the Atlantic, so to be competitive, we'll need a big solid boat no more than 50-feet with big power. How 'bout a Magnum 50 (http://www.magnummarine.com/products/50/50_fr.html) with twin 1400 HP MTU/Detroit diesels.

My guess is that would set you back about $1.5M or maybe a little more. Plus $45K to enter the boat another $15K for three racers and another $12K for the technical crew and "others" and fuel for total of about $1.6M to $1.8M. But hay, if you didn't screw-up, you would have a very good chance of winning the $10 million!

All we need is the start-up capital. :D :D
