Matty you must be right.

I just can't add up how to spend that much on restoring an 18 with those parts.

Guess he drinks good beer.

Pretty boat for sure though.

Just one man's opinion, but it seems to me that a $34,000 "showboat" would be impeccably original... This one appears to be anything but a restored, vintage original classic. I don't know of any Donzi Classics of that vintage with a starboard helm? Wonder why they went to the trouble to move the helm over and not put a RH prop on her???? (Didn't have an extra $300??? Didn't know that changing rotation on a Volvo is a piece of cake????)

And, given the amount of work that appears to have gone into her, she doesn't even have a "modern" drive (with trim)... I wonder if they replaced the tank in the process of the "restoration?"

As a good, useable, clean boat, though, $7,100 would be a bargain...

Don't forget that not everyone works on their boats.

Some pay for EVERYTHING and pay dearly.

If he payed too much for work, so be it. Doesn't mean he'll get his money back.

Just my $.02

Nice looking restored 69 18' 2+3. Not sure if the colored sides were offered back then. Any help? Also don't recall the stripe continuing into and on the interior, but who knows, Bilt-Rite probably did anything the owner wanted back then. On subject of price, maybe if that is a brand new Holman Moody GT-40 engine I could see 15 to 20, but like mentioned before, if your going to go to all that time and trouble, update the rest of the running gear! Dash doesn't look like the original 69 H/M dash that was in my past Donzi either. I also agree that the driver should have remained on the left and have one of the realy cool white, 3 spoke with all the little holes steering wheels.

Just the .02 from a 15 year original H/M Edition 1969 18' 2+3 Classic owner. Damn, I wish I could have kept that boat when we bought the 22. frown
