Early Donzi owners:

Who else has a shifter which is NOT the Morse type. It's a white painted side mount unit that's recessed into the cockpit side. It has an elongated hexagonal shape, and the warmup release is in a recess foward of the handle.
Does anyone know who supplied this unit?
I thought mine was not original, until I received a pic from the Donzi Marine site of an early 18 with the same unit:

Sorry about the small pic. I can't reach my own boat (in storage).
If anyone has this same shifter, can you send me a picture of it? I'm particularly interested in the handle as I think mine was repaired or replaced.

Thanks,
FR :p

Found a better pic from one of the 16s on the Registry:

Q: Is that the same chrome handle as on the Morse shifter?
My boat came with the walnut knob which had deteriorated, but the seller saved the propeller logo insert from it. My handle seems to have been changed, though.

That set up would sure make things behind the shifter easier to get to.
