Hello all, noticed that NADA appraisal guides list Classic 18 weights in 1989 and below at 2,225 pounds. From 1990 on it's listed at 2,600 pounds. Is the guide accurate and, if so, what accounts for the big increase?

Not sure, book i looked at listed my '68 at 2550, can't believe a little 18 weighs that much, but back then there was a wee bit of fear of glass,,,

i ran my 97 16 across the local truck scales.. 3100 on trailer with half a tank of fuel... sbc V8... alpha Gen II... my 16 is just 18 inches shorter than the 18...

i took the trailer back over after i put the boat in the water... it weighted 600 lbs...

therefore my boat went 2500 lbs with half a tank of fuel.. donzi lists the 16 at 2400 dry.

Considering that Donzi and the books list only one weight, and that the boats were built and sold with V-Drive and with various I/Os this might account for a 10% or more variation.
