I've run across a "roachy" 14 ft open Donzi that is steered from a 6"x6" console and has an upholstered 180 degree seat across the bow(open boat),a steel tubed "picnic style" chair w/fold down back for helm seat, and a Merc 120 partially disassembled(manifolds removed).Merc outdrive looks ok.Boat needs a weekend of heavy elbow grease-and a little paint on sole/new wood on inst panel(ahead of shift on side of cockpit liner).I wouldn't mind grabbing it if price is right(real cheap)for my grandkids.Three questions:1.What is it?2.Is it rare enough to be collectible or have any value for resale?3.If so-what is a good one worth on the market? If I spend as little as 2K on it,can I recover those monies if the kids don't want to bother with it?
I found a pic of one in registry-M. Mcmanus' boat. The one I found is ALL white-no Donzi id on stern.Has classic stainless three spoke wheel and chrome bezel.Looks like a kick butt good ski all day on $10. type boat.
Any good 14' historians?
