Does anyone have any experience with Glen-L Products? I found these for a complete set for under 900 bucks http://www.glen-l.com . They are made for Inboard though, can they still be use for I/O?

Those are good lightweight manifolds where clearence is a problem, but they are just logs with no primary dividers. Also, that style of manifold is made of the same aluminum the intake manifolds are made of and rot out quickly in salt water. Hay, for a few hundred buck more, go for the Stainless Marine center rise manifolds. I think that Brownie will agree! CP Performance (http://www.cpperformance.com/) usually has the best price on them.

Thanks Forrest. I like the different look of them and The Donzi will only see Winni water anyway, but I will give CP Performance a look see.

LOOPED,
I have a set of Glenwood "LOG STYLE" Exhaust
Manifolds and Risers coupled to a 350. There is not alot of extra space due to the diameter of the round manifold's in my 74-16 classic. Plug wires are hard to get to.
Now don't get me wrong. They look very classic and right at home in my engine compartment. Unfortunatly I am a few DB'S over New York State's limit. And by the way that's a stock 350."not for long"!!!!
GOTTA LOVE THAT RUMBLE.
I just hope my neighbors feel the same way!!!
I've had the manifolds for 12 years with out one problem.
I hope that I may have shed some light for you.

I've never taken a closeup look at the IMCO, Stainless Marine or Gil manifolds and risers. The stock risers on my SBC Mercruiser have mounting bolts for the shifter assembly on the starboard side and for the Thunderbolt Ignition packet on the port side. When you go to stainless risers do you have to build a special bracket for these? I don't remember seeing any studs welded on for this purpose.

Thanks,

Murph

I can only speak for the Stainless Marine aluminum manifolds & risers, as I have'em on my GT. I opted for the custom long tube riser option, which eliminates the risk of reversion when running radical cams, but it set me back $1400.00 +\- for the entire setup. The only drawback? Well, the old 13/16 socket doesn't fit the spark plugs, so I have to use a boxed end/open end wrench on 6 plugs and remove manifold on one side to get at the last two. Luckily, the manifolds are very easy to remove.

GEOO,
What do you think about your manifolds/risers?

Here's my current set up
