Ok guys,
I scanned 3 photos of I think a Cigarette?? I need to send these to one of you who can post them on this thread. Any help would be great...I will get them right out.

I came across this boat today behind one of my customers shops. Its been there a long time. Needs alot of work. Stringers, Transom, Paint, Motor etc, etc. Its just a hull and deck. Its real interesting. Very small cockpit. Has a CIGARETTE logo on hull. HIN# on transom must have been issued new #'s. No hatch,at least I didn't see one.

Could be a great project. Its a great looking hull. But....Is it a Cigerette? If not ohh well.

Paul O ....can you help?

I wish I was more of a cigarette expert, probably Seano, Forrest, and Owen could do better than I. That said, I will take a guess and say that it is not a cigarette at all. The smallest boat I am aware of cigarette making is the 20. Although they made and outbord version, this does not look like it. There are many instances of people applying cigarette and donzi stickers to other boats. Just about a month ago, I almost fell off my chair when I spied a Baja on Boattraderonline that was advertised as a cigarette and the add said that it was a Baja with "factory cigarette logos"!

I have to agree with Paul O. on this one, I'm resonably(99%) sure that the smallest boat Cigarette ever made was a 20 footer.

Guy's
This could be a 20 footer. I have to say buy the looks of it up close its bigger then 18. Its an I/O. Not an outboard. Front strikes are stagard (spelling). Not like Donzi. Rear strikes go all the way to Transom keel.

Formula,
Hin# was issued by the State Of NJ. There is no other # besides the NJ issue sticker. Nothing cast in the glass or anything. What makes me think that its older then 1969. Weird thing also is where the stringer meet the transom wood. There is steel brackets used UNDER the glass. You can see where they have bubbled the glass mat and came through from rust.

Scott,
I agree. It does show some shotty work. Wishful thinking...Its a shame...I was all excited. I thought I had another winter project. I guess I have to keep looking for a Hornet.

Scott, that ain't no Cigarette of any sort. In fact, what ever it is, it doesn't look like it's worth messin' with. Save your money and your time and let someone else dispose of it!

Someone had some wishfull thinking when they stuck that emblem on the side.. We owned one of those ugly boats. Its a Glasspar with one less bubble plexiglass winshield 1967-69 because it dosen't have wings. It has an outboard well in the back. Can hold up yo a 100hp motor.

Madpoodle,
The shop that took the pictures of it blacked out the #'s. The guy is weird like that. When I told him I was posting them he got the old marker out. Tow truck in back also has name covered over. You guys stealing a boat from under someone is the least of my worries.
