Here's something fun to do while waiting for the weather to warm up. www.boat-ed.com (http://www.boat-ed.com) is an online certification site. Pick your state then click on the "sample test" link. Take the test and find out what you THINK you know! At the end of the test you can review the ones you missed. Pretty cool. I took the North Carolina test and scored a 90.

Post your state and score here.

Now - Now kids, be honest - no fudging your score!

I took mine and scored a 37%. No really, though, how many people are gonna post scores less than flattering!

I opened the North Carolina test because there are no New England states listed. So I printed it out (figure I would cut back on surfing time at work) and answered all of the 75 questions. Now I went back in to the site to put in the answers http://www.donzi.net/ubb/eek.gif and the DAM THING CHANGED ALL OF THE FREAKIN QUESTIONS AROUND. http://www.donzi.net/ubb/mad.gif http://www.donzi.net/ubb/mad.gif http://www.donzi.net/ubb/mad.gif http://www.donzi.net/ubb/mad.gif

Man do I hate tests

Craig,

I am REALLY liking your fluttering flag graphic. Could you explain again how to do that?

Okay lets give this a shot, I think it will work.

1. Go to www.donzimarine.com (http://www.donzimarine.com) and in the center of the first page right click on the image that is changing pictures.

2. Choose the bottom option “Address: (URL)” and highlight the entire line starting with “http://www.donzimarine.com/images/splash_5.gif”

3. Once you have highlighted the entire line you need to right click on it and choose copy.

4. Now, go to Donzi.net and post a topic or what ever and place these 2 sections on either side of the image file like so with no spaces: http://www.donzimarine.com/images/splash_5.gif

5. Now I will do it with no spaces like this and see if it works:

91% NC Test (those damn PWC questions!)
I recommend everyone take a Basic Course.
I've boated most of my life and still learned alot from the Coast Guard Aux Course.
The #1 thing I learned was how to correctly tie a cleat. Boy do my friends wish I hadn't learned that! They get grief whenever I see them tie it wrong. http://www.donzi.net/ubb/smile.gif
Plus you get 10% off on you insurance.

RickR-You would be amazed how many longtime, EXPERIENCED boaters (including commercial fishermen),do NOT take the loop around the base before looping the horns.Probably the most frequent misstep of boaters-and one that can cost you the most when the cleated line slips.
Anyone that hasn't learned to use the "bowline" knot is missing the most foolproof knot in boating. It's EASY,and it works for almost everything-comes undone only when YOU want it to.
Wanna long thread........Who makes the best anchor for all conditions????

Thanks for the site. But, there isn't one for Florida. Duh, maybe we don't have enough water here for boating.

I took the Pennsylvania test. [use to live there] got a 85. Don't know enough about them da*n PWC. Never liked them and still don't.

The loop isn't the only thing people miss in real life. there is the first lock and the direction in which it is placed.
