Well I'm back, Frank is probably enjoying his last cup of coffee in the Islands before his long drive home. I'll save most of my thoughts till after Frank posts his report, but I will tell you this.
The only thing more amazing than Frank's ability to run his boat flat out in crowded, rough conditions, is his ability to spot Donzi's in the spectator fleet as we were flying by.
I think the only mechanical problem he had was a broken tach, because everytime I looked, it was stuck at 5200 RPM's :D :D
Frank, Thanks for a fantastic day. It was great to finally meet you, Melissa, and Bazooka Joe.

We are home, I think! Boxy you are the best! You will always be part of the Shanghied crew! If anyone can with stand a night out with the NJPPC crew when we are partying deserves a metal! I love Canada (A) I miss it already, The people are so friendly and in to performance boats! I never had so many folks come up to me and tell me they love my Donzi! Boxy I hope you had a good time and my wife and Joe think the world of you! I want to say Thank You for your gifts, Tell your folks I said hello, We are planning a fun run next year Maybe we will do it Donzi style and your are invited.

Exteme, It was great to meet you I wish we had more time to spend, My Wife wanted to do some site seeing ( I promised her from last year ) Being they pulled the ZR out Saturday after the run! We didn't stay for the Radar Shoot Out! I will stay in contact.

AS THE SAYING GOE'S OH CANADA! Yes one of my favorite places! Fresh water you can see to the bottom! Do I hear a Donzi get together for next year? ABAY or Gan could be the place! I will make some calls. :D :D :D

Frank. It was great to meet you and your wife.I hope she had a good time shopping don't they always.I think that Gananoque or Alex Bay would be a great place to hold a Donzi Fun Run for next year.I will help you Frank to get this thing off the ground if you like.I'm sure Boxy feels the same way as I do.
P.S. your boat looked great flying by just outside of Alex Bay on Saturday.

Frank I still can't wipe the :D of my face. It was a fantastic weekend, and I have to thank you, your lovely wife Melissa, and Joe for instantly making me feel more like a good friend, than someone who you've traded email's with.
I'll try to keep this short, here are a few of the highlights;
-Climbing into the driver's seat of the 38 ZR, and looking through the canopy down the long deck. The pictures don't do it justice, and it looks beautiful in the pictures.
-The start out of Gananoque, when I first got a feeling for what Frank, and his ZX were capable of.
-Meeting Frank and Mellisa's friends from the NJPPC at Alexandria Bay, and Bazooka Joe showing me around the 2400 HP sit-down Outerlimits.
-Staying wide on the start out of A-Bay, and getting a jump on almost everyone.
-Jumping the tug-boat's wake on the way back to Brockville.
-Watching Melissa spend more time trying to get into the casino, than we spent in it.
..and finally...
-Watching Frank almost re-create the infamous "flower dance" after a couple of Jack and Cokes at Moroni's. eek!
It was a weekend that would have been fantastic in any performance boat, the fact that we were in a Donzi that took on everything the River threw at it, and still ran flat out, made it that much sweeter.
Frank thank you again for a great experience, and thank you for the great Shanghied Race Team shirts, hopefully next time you make it up here you can stay a little longer, and I can show you more of our area.

PS - EM sorry I missed you Friday night, I saw your boat running down the channel when we were docked in A-Bay, and it looked sweet.
