Wednesday I was driving toward downtown on I-95 and noticed a vehicle towing a boat coming up behind me. As he came closer it looked like the boat had been stripped for painting or something, or maybe has some sort of industrial camouflage paint job. Then as it got really close, I could see that the boat on the trailer has in REALLY bad condition. I mean REALLY bad. Then as it pulled alongside I realized that the boat had actually been on fire. As it passed, the scene was unchanged as the boat was burned from bow to stern. Two outboard engines, a center cockpit helm...everything burned in all directions. Then I saw the burned hull graphics on the side...Donzi ZF... frown

We just lost a club boat to an electrical fire. Awesome old Coyote race hull boat with new engines.
He then boat the big Z boat with T 454's on Ebay from someone in NY just a month ago, ran it for the first long run in the HRPA poker run. Very nice boat.

Bryan, is that the same Coyote race boat that's been in Virginia Beach area for many years? If it is, I remember seeing it parked on Laskin Rd (31st Street, VB) since the early 1980s every time I drove by. That was a really nice classic race boat. Bummer to see that one go. frown

Sounds like a deal for $1500 obo doesn't it? Heck, the trailer is worth that. Any one looking for a project?
