For any of you guys wanting an affordable handheld GPS unit, now is the time. I've got 8 more Magellan 315 handheld GPS units available for $110 each, delivered. The units are brand new. Forrest got one and Tidbit got two last week. This unit sells for $139 plus shipping at Overton's.
Features include:
* digital speedometer, accurate to 1/10 MPH
* "Breadcrumb trail" (shows the path you have followed, so backtracking is a no brainer)
* 500 programable waypoints (save points to return to in the future)
* anchor alarm
It does a lot more, but these features I've used.
Email me if you are interested!

There are now 5 left. First come first serve. Feel free to email with any questions.

How fast does your boat really go? My dash speedometer reads 54mph with 3 passengers. GPS reads 59.5MPH! :D
These units have a digital speedometer that updates speed every second.

The manual that was packed in the box is very good. Lots of features for the money. Thanks again Scott.

BTW Scott, can you recommend a good dash mount for the 315? The swivel mount for the 315 that I saw in West Marine seems awfully big.

Bandit,
Got one with your name on it.

Forrest,
I will find out the low down, but the swivel could be cool for passengers to monitor while you are watching the water! I am going to mount one in the Minx, one in the fishing boat, and drop one in one of the 8 cup holders in the Tundra! :D These things are addictive and eye-opening.
Thanks guys,
Stix

StYX, you have the first speedo that is more conservative than GPS that I have ever heard of!

My speedo is 3 to 4 over GPS above 60....
GPS has saved my A$$ many a time, we go so far from home everything looks alike on the way back!

Were they 315M's? I sent this link to a friend I know is shopping.
