How many docklines do you carry with you? How long are they?

I use black New England Ropes' 7/16 triple braid from West Marine. It is an excellent line.

I finish my ends with whipping which is better looking and more functional than dip.

The dark colors don't show stains.

2x 8'
4x 16'
2x 25'
1x 50' for towing or anchor extension

Harbormaster, I posted in the poll.
We like the longer lines since it makes walking around an L berth to a ramp, just makes it easier.
We unlike most leave our lines attached while running, one on each stern cleat etc. That way Nancy don't have to change them.

Just a tad bit of navy talk, under 3/4" in diameter is called "small stuff." Lines, not ropes. HMaster, I have one of the lines that has the Donzi logo on it that is sent out with the new boats, it is black, if you would like it email me your home address and I will drop it in the mail.

Can't wait to see more photos of your new rig, she looks sweet and we will follow your posts...

On the subject of lines, if your looking for a really classy way to show your boat's name or even your Registry user name, this company will make you personalized dock lines for your Donzi. Friends in MI and I found these at the Detroit Boat Show. These make great Birthday, Christmas or even a nice thank-you present. Check out Dock Lines (http://www.captainjackslog.com/dockline.shtml)

Dizzy,

God help you if you ever get them knotted together! Talk about dizzy! eek!
I guess with a boat that big, you need a lot of rope!
Welcome to the board. :)
