News is in from the drive shop.
The IMCO shortie with XR gears is in great shape.
The standard upper is toast. Hasta la vista.
Looking for a best price on the new upper.
Help appreciated on places to shop...
Todd

Todd, let me know if we can help, the Merc Parts Dealer prices are from 700 to 1500 less than you will find anywhere. Or if you just want a price for comparison data.
I will add, 3 days from Atlanta really means 5 or 6 days!

Todd, I have a new XZ drive complete, XZ has straight cut gears, supposed to be a little stronger also a little louder than the XR which has radial cut gears. Any interest?

We are still trying to get the Dominator carbs dialed in. We just haven't had enough time because of the weather. That is the last time I will do an install without dynoing the motors first.
He loves the boat though!! It ran 96 mph right out of the box!! It will see triple digits! :D
How's yours coming along? I would like to find a supercharger hatch like you have wink Or at least one I could hack on and save my original :D

Thanks Ted for the offer, but I want XR.
Byron, I think your guy is the individual that Jordan is working with. Pretty simple surgery now that we are doing wholesale parts replacement!
Sterndrive Specialities in NY has the upper for $3800, best price so far.
Also talking to an individual who has a complete new drive in the box for about the same price, but he hasn't agreed to let it go yet. It's his backup for a supercharged 540 in a Hammer. Wow!
Thanks for the help guys.
