Can you flush a 18 classic 350 with alpha 1 drive while in the water through the transom flush with the engine off?

How would you get the fresh waster past the Thermastat with the engine off?

I saw this gizmo on ship shape tv that had a desalinazation fluid in a tank at the dock hit the button while it's runnig and when it buzzes it is done shut her down, was big bucks and well the outside is still in salt so I don't know how well it works

When I hook the hose up to the transom flush, If I turn on the hose with the engine off, water comes out of the exhaust pipes.

It goes thru a small by-pass and NOT totally thru the engine.

If you have decent dock water pressure it will keep the drive pump from pumping salt into the motor, so I would say yes.
