Wow,
What a nightmare I had, I dreamt that some "anti-Donzite" had put a bracket with an outboard on a 2+3!!!!

He isn't "Lunatic Fringe" like some of us
He's over the edge http://www.donzi.net/ubb/eek.gif
I'll bet his other ride is a bass boat.

Paul,
I saw that the other day when I was looking through the boats and I have to tell you I could not believe it. Someone should call that guy up and find out where he lives and we can all go there and open a can of Woopass on him.

What the hell was he thinking and how the hell did he do that. It would be interesting to see how on earth he rigged that up.

Nice guy he said a relative of his had it built from Donzi in 1983. They put extra stringers in it and mounted the bracket. It's an Original probably one of a kind custom Donzi. It original had twin 200's. He bought it and repowered it with single 300. GEOO

Consider the following:
1) He has solved the age-old problem of where to install his Live Bait Well (old engine compartment)
2) He has the record for X dimension
3) He never has to worry about reaching planing speed
4) He solved the problem of how to convert a Classic 18 into a Classic 22 without adding weight to the bow.

The poetic justice of it all is the dependability of the 300's...hehehe!
Ugly goes clear to the bone......

I'd like to see a picture of it in the water. It would have to look like a regular 18 being closely followed by a large boatless outboard motor! Pretty wierd.

Peter,
R/C boats are awesome. I scratch built a 5 footer similar to a Donzi and stuck a chainsaw motot in it. (maybe I'll post a couple pics.) Just have to finish fastening the outer strakes, then seal her up.
