View Full Version : What drive is this?
Due to my lack of visual recognition in all these drives that everyone talks about, TRS, Speedmaster, #4 drives, Alpha SS, etc, what is this? Steve Marr's boat pics look like a good "how to stringer, transom rebuild article" The X-dimension looks high here.Thanks. http://www.donzi.net/hull/451/DONZI4.jpg

Looks like a Blackhawk to me....
I agree with LEN, it would be interesting to see a page somewhere that showed examples of the various drives we always see, talk, and dream about...

That's a Blackhawk.
Reason the X-dimension looks like this is that it's a surface piercing setup. When up and running, about 1/3 of the props are out of the water. Throws one hell of a rooster tail...

Rick, Steve Marr apparently. The page takes a bit to open up in the registry boat pics but there are sure a lot of great pics here!

Wow! What a ride that must be... Big block 502, I assume??? I also notice a Teleflex hydraulic helm??? What's the setup?????
Did you find a crashed Blackhawk and strip it? Or do we need to look for you on America's Most Wanted?
This is as cool as Rigger's 18!
