Has anyone tried to use this PVC Coring (http://www.donziboats.com/construction.html)(option F) that Donzi uses to replace the old style Balsa Core? Or is this product just too new to rely on do to unknown longevity.
Pros & Cons anyone?
Thanks,
Craig

Craig,
When I was restoring my Classic 18 around 4 months ago, I called Donzi and they told me they still use the balsa core. I have no info on the PVC. The new balsa core comes in sheets and is very easy to cut and apply.
Good Luck.
Alex.

Well I spoke to Donnie at Donzi Customer Service this morning about the PVC Core. He said to use the original Balsa Core do to adhesive problems that I could encounter using a new product with the old resins on the deck. Oh well, I tried to be different and use something new, but sometimes your better off sticking to what works.
Thanks for the feedback and contacts.
