Is a 20' foot CIG common with the cable down the deck???

Scott Pearson

Jack,
Is that boat For Sale? Or could it be For Sale?

Let me know

Thanks

I think that it was common for the 20' Cigarettes to have the cable on the deck. I looked at a 1979 20' Cig with a 454 TRS. I believe that it had the cable tension on the front deck. I think that it would be a nice project for resto that someone should snap up. If only I were closer...
Hey Len, isn't your wife in Florida? Send her up to buy it! Wonder if the airlines would allow that as carry on luggage? :)

going by Wednesday to see if it is for sell.
Don't know what Mark was referring to, unless
he knows about this hidden treasury. Jack

A 20' Cig filled with leaves and crap stuffed back in the woods in some swampy place in BF Florida??? I think EG has it right on this one guys. Jack, I sure hope the "owner" doesn't get "upset" when you knock on his door to inquire about it. I can see it now . . . "Howdy neighbor, my name is Jack and I was wonderin' if you had any plans for that old boat you got back there? . . . I waz thinkin' that it might be something that me and the kids could fix up a little and have somethin' putt around out here on the lake this summer. . . Oh, OK, OK, I'm leavin' right now . . . Oh, no Sir, we didn't see anything . . . and no, we didn't take any pictures either! eek! eek!

How about this approach?
"Me and the kids like to fish and I'll give you $400.00 bucks if you can throw in the oars and the oar locks with the fish boat. We didn't see'm out in the yard." Let me know cause I got to get the money from their Grandma. See, she wants me to take them fishing and spend more time with them since their Mom died.

You could quickly flash your old Ranger Rick badge at them, claim to be a Revenuer, and impound their "still" out back.

Ted,

I purchased the boat Last Oct. and believe it or not I havent ran the the boat yet! I just broke in the cam yesterday in the rain and that was the first time that I heard the motor run,I pulled the motor over the winter and lowered the cr from 12.5:1 to 9:1 so I can now run pump gas,its a 454 with a "mild" cam,Alum square port heads, torker manifold and 850 carb, really dont know the hp or top speed yet but I should be able to tell you in acouple days :D

Ok gang, This is the last reply I will do on this
post. I am installing a 502 Mag. (carb of course)
and a full resto on everything...and the name
of the boat......NICOTINE FIX.....(I quit smoking
4 mos. 19 days and 22 hours ago) but who's counting. I will post the work in progress photo's along the way. The goal is august 15th
in the water. I will take it to Sanford where Brandon and Jack (Keefe) will co-pilot it for the first time in the water in a loooong time.
Stay tuned.

Does that mean we would pass up Eufala, two weeks later? Also, Thunder on the Bay is that time frame, should we attempt that? Jax Performance Boat Club is going to Destin Florida the weeeknd after TotB for the Poker Run weekend there. Would that be something the SEADOGs would want to do? No Eufala talk lately...is it really dead, Forrest?
Mark

Forrest

Mark, lots goin' on in August. Eufaula is not dead (yet), just laying dormant for now. I need to get on the horn and check George T. Bagby again. Also, there's always Lakepoint Resort on the Alabama side. Are you thinking about the Poker run in Destin this year? Event's like that are rough on us po' folks - but not ruled out! :D
