Awesome. Black engines are horrible. You can't see a damn thing on them. My 350 wink going into my 18 is going to be yellow to match the boat...

Then again...how ya gonna clean those impossible-to-get-at places that you can still see, without disassembly each time you run.

Looks nice! I had to ditch the chrome covers and put aluminun on, the salt air gets them. I bet alot of guys up here like the custom look.

Go for the orange, I kinda agree with Clayman. If you decide you hate it that much you can always paint it next winter.

A well maintained motor (which this obviously is) will look good either way!
I hand clean my with a solution I made up, my stock black looks good too.
The orange is "way cool" though! :)
Owner preference on this one!

Chev orange looks GREAT!!!
Did you powdercoat the Valve covers and intake?
What color powder did you use?

no powdercoat at all... PPG DP40 (gray) after a good scrubbing and some wax and grease remover... then just regular ole duplicolor engine enamel... i'll clearcoat it all when it's all done... personally i'd like to get some heat on it and get it to cure before i clear it but hopefully a week with these warmer temps will get the solvents out of that enamel...
