Scott, Just read your post on the other board about the boat delivery idea. That would be pretty cool. How would you set something like that up??? Talk to you soon.

Donziman2,
I'm not sure that we could, but I had a good time thinking about it. The first thing to do would be to give Mike Miller a call and ask him to tow your new 26 ZX to Lake Cumberland for delivery to you. (I believe Mike is planning to fly though) Second, obtain a bottle of champagne for the launch christening. Third, while you talk to Mike about towing the new boat to Cumberland, ask if he's bringing the Donzi models with him. Last, we get it all on film, video, and whatever other type of media we could dig up. What a great promotion for Donzi Marketing. "While attending the Midwest Donzi Club's Awakening of the Horses, Robert Conaway takes delivery of his brand new 26' Donzi ZX". Donzi model hands you the keys, you start her up. We christen her with the champagne, you drive off into the sunset all the while, cameras are flashing (Using color slide film for Hot Boat) and the video camera is rolling.

I think I've missed my calling in life, I should be in Marketing or Donzi gathering organization. Hey Mike? Any openings?

Bryan - you bet I'm ready. Although , all this talk about synthetic oil got me thinking. I don't like to mess with a good thing but I'm about to change oil today and hope it doesn't screw something up. Actually, I'm more concerned about Big Grizz getting a grip on his Criterion since he more than doubled the horsepower. We're trying some other stuff this weekend - including helmets! http://www.donzi.net/ubb/eek.gif

Tom, sounds exciting... Helmets uh, WOW!
Good luck on the oil, I stick with Merc quick silver like my manual says, what is your personal reason for switching?

Bryan - like you, I've been sticking with the owner's manual recommendation and seem to be doing fine. However, take a look at the thread started by Sam on 4/16 on Synthetic Oil. Some of these guys, who's opinions I respect, give strong endorsements for the synthetics. Think I'll give it a try and keep an eye on it for signs of anything amiss.
