Damn its rained all night and all of today. Galveston Island has had 12 inches of rain in the last 12 hours. We are still under a 70% chance and 40% tomorrow. I am glad that I live in a high area.

BELIEVE it or NOT all you Southern'ers, Florida-ites, Yorker's and the rest,...we have had 1 (!!!ONE!!!) day of rain here since June 15th and not a drop since...I'm not kidding, and today, as has been the case for the last couple of weeks, it is about 90F...

As Bob Dylan said..."the times...they are a change'n..."

I like it.

...WAY OFF TOPIC (but it's not my fault... )

Well, Lenny
How much snow did you have?

oldLenny

Scot, we don't get much snow (read that any) here in the South coast climate. We might see an inch or two throughout an entire winter and will go through years with none. Seems to me it was a couple winters ago that you were the one standing in your front yard in the snow. :D

Then again, we don't have all that "neat" stuff you guys do down there...killer bees, killer mosquitos, sharks, rattlesnakes, scorpians, crocodiles, twisters, floods, fires etc :D

Man we're dry as a bone out here. No snow last winter, 20" instead of the normal 150", and now no rain, it normally rains every day in late summer. The pines in our forest are dying due to bark beetles, we're on water restrictions so I can't wash my cars or the Donzi and Lake Powell is down 70' (dropping 6" a week). Is this the new pattern?

I just mowed my yard for the third time this year... it'd be more attractive to simply paint the grass green.

Georgia? It's Georgia, isn't that enough?

no rain in Virginia either. My grass is dead. But I could care less because I rent!! haa!

Only downside is I don't get to use my 20 yr old Montgomery Ward "Industrial/Commercial" fire engine red lawn tractor with the 36 inch deck and Coors tap puller gearshift handle. :D
